Project A is a brand new IP in development focused on deep immersion and onboarding new players into the world of play-to-earn. Project A innovates on traditional creature collecting gameplay by blending competitive multiplayer combat with social progression and adventure. Project A offers players a more curated gaming experience with unique interoperability opportunities between all of Battlebound’s titles. Play-to-Earn Social Wonderland

REAL OWNERSHIP & UTILITY

The Evaverse is a Battlebound’s web3 multiplayer metaverse game. It’s built for players and NFT collectors to compete, play, and socialize in an immersive world. It’s live on PC/Mac, with a mobile release coming later this year.

Evaverse is an open platform for other NFT communities and IPs that otherwise couldn’t build a metaverse with solid and consistent game dynamics. We’ve partnered with several notable NFT collections to integrate playable avatars for their respective communities. We will continue to partner with projects and facilitate open integrations as the Evaverse expands.

Role Description

As a Senior Technical Artist, Rigging at Battlebound, you will set up the rigging pipeline for the team while creating a character and prop rigs for our gaming products. You will deliver technical tools that empower the art production pipeline by establishing best practices and workflows and removing technical barriers. You will be responsible for the animation pipeline in-engine and creating automated processes that the development team will leverage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a modular rigging system for our game products
  • Rig and skin characters, props, and creatures while working closely with the art team to deliver immersive and efficient gameplay experiences
  • Work closely with Animators to build out the in-engine animation pipeline
  • Proactively identify inefficient procedures and suggest scalable technical solutions for the animation pipeline.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of AAA production experience as Character Rigging TA
  • Expert skills in skinning and rigging in Maya;
  • Strong knowledge of Mel and Python;
  • Expertise in modern game engines like Unity / Unreal
  • Expertise in content creation and pipeline tools, particularly Maya
  • Highly proficient communication skills and broad understanding of game development pipeline
  • Highly Self-motivated, ability to self organize and work within deadlines

Extra Credit

  • Passion for developing games on small teams, with high levels of ownership and autonomy
  • Interest or experience in Web3/Blockchain game development

Role Description

As a Senior Gameplay programmer at Battlebound, you will work closely with design to build immersive multiplayer gaming experiences. Thinking like a player is key as you build out new gameplay mechanics, support current features, and squash bugs. You will be able to exercise creativity freedom with high degrees of ownership and autonomy to create fun and exciting gaming mechanics. Engaging and communicating with the development team and iterating on player feedback will be a crucial part of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Build, polish, and ship new game features updates and mechanics that delight our players
  • Prototype new and thrilling gameplay systems and features
  • Create and implement well-engineered, reliable, maintainable, and bug-free code in C#
  • Collaborate with the team, engaging and implementing player feedback to create best-in-class multiplayer gameplay
  • Provide recommendations and follow on solutions to management to achieve strategic and operational goals
  • Follow best practices, development processes, and coding standards

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in multiplayer game development
  • Strong programming background with C# and Unity
  • Experience with a broad range of gameplay systems in shipped games
  • Solid grasp of  3D vector math
  • Excellent collaboration and communication across disciplines
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Extra Credit

  • Passion for developing games on small teams, with high levels of ownership and autonomy
  • Interest or experience in Web3/Crypto technology
  • Unreal Engine experience

Role Description

As a Senior 3D Artist at Battlebound, you will leverage your creative ingenuity to create immersive and compelling visual worlds. You will artistically blend functional game art and beautiful stylized aesthetics to develop environments, weapons, and props that players love. Your eye for value hierarchy, color theory, shape language, and proportions will help bring worlds to life that support gameplay and appeal to a diverse player base.

Responsibilities

  • Translate 2D concepts to fully 3d environments, props, and weapons that enhance gameplay clarity and immersion.
  • Craft beautiful high poly sculpts in Zbrush and optimized low-resolution game meshes compatible with PC and Mobile platforms.
  • Prototype, iterate and discover new technical and procedural workflows to help build scalable unique worlds.

Qualifications

  • Highly experienced in a 3D modeling software, preferably Maya
  • Highly experienced in creating high poly models with Zbrush
  • Proficient use of Substance Designer and Painter to generate baked textures and material definitions.
  • A clear understanding of material reads, in-game lighting, and texture authoring.
  • Clear communication and ability to deliver and execute actionable feedback
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, and able to fully embrace a remote work culture.

  • Passion for developing games on small teams, with high levels of ownership and autonomy
  • Love for playing video games and pushing the envelope on what the market is currently offering
  • Interest or experience in Houdini Engine for Unity
